the Scriptures of the Old
and New Testaments to be verbally inspired of God, inerrant in the original
writings, and of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
in one God, eternally
existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
that Jesus Christ was
begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and that He is true God
and true man.
that the Holy Spirit
is the third member of the Godhead, that His ministry is to convict the
unsaved, to regenerate, baptize, indwell, seal, and control those who are
saved.
that man was created
in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred both spiritual and
physical death; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature; and that
those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word, and
deed.
that the Lord Jesus
Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and
substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on
the ground of His shed blood.
in the resurrection
of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His
present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.
in "that
blessed hope," the personal, premillennial, and imminent return of our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
that all who receive the
Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and that they
become the children of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ.
in the bodily resurrection
of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the
everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
in the eternal
security of all believers.
that the Christian
has been crucified, buried, and made alive, risen, and ascended with Christ,
and that his proper attitude is to turn to God from idols to serve the true
God, and to wait for His Son from Heaven.
that the sins of
believers have been judged; that the faithful service of believers will be
rewarded.
that the unrighteous
are now under the wrath of God and are awaiting death and judgment.
that the believer is
responsible to carry or to send the Gospel to the uttermost part of the
earth, by word of mouth, by financial support, and by effectual prayer.
that all believers
should be baptized, should join the visible church, and should observe the
Lord's Supper.
that the Holy Spirit
has gifted all Christians so that they might minister during the church age;
that while the Spirit may give any gift at any time, He gives them in
conformity to the Scriptures; that some gifts given, such as prophecy,
apostleship, tongues, and miracles were foundational and temporary in nature.
