II Thessalonians 1:6-10

Introduction: "Our second language is spiritual"

 The present world situation

Many in the world do not believe the Gospel

They do not know who God is
They do not believe what Jesus Christ has done

From these unbelievers come the oppressors of Christians
Christians respond to oppression with faith

The future world situation

Jesus Christ will return in His greatness

He will come with the authority of Heaven
He will come in the spiritual power of Heaven

Jesus Christ will judge the world with the fire of righteousness

The oppressors will be oppressed

They will be excluded from the Lord's sight
They will be removed from the Lord's power

The oppressed will have rest and honor in the Kingdom of God

MESSAGE:

"KEEP ON RESISTING THE ENEMIES OF YOUR FAITH
AND YOU WILL HAVE A FAVORED PLACE
IN THE WORLD TO COME."

Introduction: "At it again"

Context: Works of faith

Faith sees afflictions as opportunities
Faith is heaven's badge

Content: The prayer and path of worthiness

The prayer of worthiness

Your worth to the Lord should grow

In Christ your worth to God is great
In this life your worth to God can grow

Your walk before the Lord should not waiver

Doing good starts in your heart
Doing good is seen in your choices

Your witness for the Lord should be clear

When your character reflects His character
When His conduct is seen in your conduct

The path to worthiness

As you improve your walk, you will improve your witness
As you improve your witness, you will grow in your worth

MESSAGE:

"WHAT YOUR WALK IS, SO IS YOUR WITNESS;
WHAT YOUR WITNESS IS, SO IS YOUR WORTH."
